About Vanina Villa
Vanina Villas is owned by two French lovers and connoisseur of the island for nearly 35 years.
The dream took place when in 2015 they decided to buy a land at the edge of the Indian Ocean on the South coast, in Meddawatta beach, a wild coast, just frequented by a handful of surfers but also located near interests of the South Coast.
After two years of hard construction work, rains, monsoon winds and with a lot of stubbornness, Vanina Villas now stands proudly facing the waves with Its modern architecture, fully integrated into nature.
Living year-round in Sri Lanka, joined by their children, surfers and hoteliers, they will share with you their knowledge and passion for this beautiful south coast, still preserved from tourism, and they will be your attentive hosts during your stay in Meddawatta.
Please note our Property is closed May & June and from 1st September to 15th October due to monsoon period.

A beautiful Boutique hotel, run by a lovely family who cannot do enough to ensure you have a wonderful vacation. 6 stylish villas, set in beautiful grounds all leading directly onto the beach. Terrific food served daily (less Sunday lunch/dinner) in the restaurant with the specials changed daily. A relaxing bar were you can take a drink and listen to the waves breaking. A great place just to relax, surf (or learn too), yoga classes or just explore the local area and attractions. Sits on quiet beach which is off the main tourist route compared too other areas. Great value for money, a must if you intend to visit the South Coast area.

After staying in 2018 all family came back this year and well, what can I say... If you look for a place that combines a perfect location (lonesome palm- and surfbeach far away from mass tourism), perfect service and wonderful hosts (Myriam, Jean and surf coach Axel ensure that you will have the time of your live), then congrats: you have found it :).
